Frequently Asked Questions
  1. How do I change the number of words/pictures/numbers/balls used?. [answer]
  2. Only a portion of my words/pictures/phrases show up, the rest is just numbers.  How do I fix this?  [See #1]
Version
1.16.11

INTERNAL SOFTWARE SECURITY ADJUSTMENTS

DOWNLOAD

Version 1.16.10Changed
  • Change in the None-Linear format of producing game cards.
    • In the Past, Linear game card counting meant that each subsequent card would be incremented by 1.   This has not changed for the Linear format.
    • In the Past, None-Linear game card counting would mean that the first X (game count) cards would have the same game count number.  After that, the next X cards would have the same game count number so on and so forth.  This would go on until the last game count would be reached and then it would start over again.
      • It will change now so that now the system takes in to account the number of cards produced.  This will mean that in the future if the game count is 10 and there are 10,000 cards, then the first 1,000 cards would have 1 as the game count.  In the past it would only be the first 10.  The next set of cards that would have the 1 wouldn't come until the 1,000 card.

Fixed

  • List Index Out of Bounds error when pictures are enabled and you don't have all of the pictures installed to match your ball count.

Added (2 Unsupported Features)

  • Data Cards - Just adds greater flexibility when adding text and graphics to the cards.
  • Card Indexing (only works well with 1 bingo card per page)
Version
1.16.2
Feb 12, 2009
Changed
  • You can resize the height of the main form.
  • You may now enter your own values for the points system.  Enter the values to the right of the phrase box in the picture assembler.
 Added (Unsupported Feature)
  • Points System
    • This system displays random numbers in each cell based on a key number that you choose.
    • If the key number is 5 and there are 25 cells, then the bingo card will be worth 125 points.
    • Each column shares 25 points.
    • Each Row in a column is randomly distributed points until all 25 points are used.
    • If a person win's bingo they add up the points associated in the winning cells.  This amount can be added to some kind of points total for special prizes or something.
    • This feature is good for bingo halls that wish to keep some kind of alternative points spread for winners of their bingo games.
Version 1.16.0
December 16 2008
Added
  • You may now change the color of the cell border.  This does not include the letter cells.
  • A small copyright option has been added to the Special Options menu item.
  • You may now extract all images located in a project file.  Click "Tools | Extract Embedded Graphics" to use this feature.  The images will extract in to "MY PICTURES\INTERBA\<PROJECTNAME>\IMAGES\"

Changed

  • Opening the image folder will no longer create a new window each time.
  • The software will no longer prompt you if you wish to save if the project noted a change in the project.  (note:  if you change something and it is not recognized as a modification let us know.)
Version 1.15.2Fixed
  • Text List in Word and Picture Tool would not save if you changed them after saving project file.

Version 1.15.1Fixed
  • Division By Zero error when opening some card classes in the number generator.

Updated

  • The Pattern Class Wizard now reflects the new "columns" and "rows" format now included in the Card Class Wizard 1.14.8
Version 1.15.0
November 14 2008

Version Adjustment

Version 1.14.10
October 24, 2008
Added
  • You may select a pattern or group of patterns to display on the cards you print.
    • To Access this feature click "Project | Options | Page Tagging | Patterns..."
      • Use Patterns - This option turns on the feature
      • Pattern - This option allows you to quickly select one pattern for every card.
      • Set Patterns - This option allows you to select multiple patterns.  This option is associated with the game number.  You do not have to activate the game number in order for this feature to work.
      • Cycle Patterns - This options tells the software to actually start cycling through the patterns selected with "Set Patterns."

Fixed

  • Cards now print in a particular order based on the card class you use.

Changed

  • You will no longer be able to choose the number of cards that are displayed on the screen.  What you will now be choosing is the number of blocks.  A block refers to a group of cards.
    • Example.  Our 4Card format uses 4 cards.  Under the old format if you choose to have 3 columns and 2 rows of cards the software would print out 6 cards on the page.  However, this would not line up with the 4card format as two more cards would be necessary.  Therefore, the new format will create 3 blocks across and 2 block down.  This will create a total of 6 blocks of 4 cards, or 24 cards.
    • Note:  Because of this change you must resave all of your projects in order for them to work correctly.  The Bingo Numbers will change.  So do not upgrade until all of your current business or personal projects have expired/ are over.
Version 1.14.9
October 17, 2008
Added
  • While using the number generator...
    • If you click the "Mas Sheet" button you will be able to see a master sheet of all of the numbers called, and the order they were called.
    • If you click the card display, a larger card display will show allowing you to see the cards better.
    • Relevant Cells are now highlighted on the card display.

Fixed

  • When using Dual Numbers per Cell the Free Space wouldn't display correctly.
Version 1.14.8
October 15, 2008
Fixed
  • When using an alternate "cards per page" other than what is required by the Card Class the Number Generator would not display the alternate cards. Example:  If the card class expected 4 cards to be displayed, but you selected to display 3 cards across and 2 down, only 4 of the cards would be shown under the number generator.  Now, all 6 cards will be shown.
  • The Number Generator was not resetting the game cards when the numbers were reset.
  • Access Fault Errors when not using pictures while using the number generator.
Version 1.14.7Added
  • New feature which allows you to assign your overlay and location settings to the selected images in the Word and Picture Assembler.

Fixed

  • When viewing control numbers, the numbers started with 000000 instead of 000001.  You must reset control numbers and then click "Project | Edit" to see the new control list with the correction.
  • Random Number List (N Button) was not printing to printer.
Version 1.14.6Changed
  • Pictures now keep there aspect ratio when using the Word and Picture Assembler.
Version 1.14.5Changed
  • You may now use your own numbers for the cards.  Click "Project | Special Options | Load Numbers From CSV File"
    • When entering your own numbers, you must substitute a zero for the free space.  See sample file here.
Version 1.14.3Fixed
  • If you have page/card header/footers text of various lengths/counts, opening the text editor may produce an error.
  • When setting a font, if the default font information matches the information you are using it is not added to the line you are editing.
Version 1.14.2Added
  • Feature which allows you to change the font for all Page and Card Headers and Footers.
Version 1.14.1Added

Added

  • You may now insert words in to the software via a Text File.

Version 1.11.0
05/19/2009

New Features

  • Game Sessions - Allows you to pre-select patterns for the next "x" rounds.
    • Game Sessions feature will use patterns embedded in the project file overriding the general list.
    • Select patterns the way you always have, except now when Game Sessions are enabled you get to select multiple patterns at a time.  The screen needs a bit of polishing and hinting but its basically done.
    • In edition, when a project is loaded that uses its own pattern list, the pattern selection button is disabled on the setup screen.
    • You can also disassociate the patterns from the ground.  Typically, when you change rounds it will also update the pattern as well.  With this option, if you choose to have multiple patterns per found you can simply use the +Pat and -Pat buttons.
  • Custom Key's.
    • The following options can now be accessed by pressing a single key:
      • Start Calling
      • Pause Calling
      • Stop Calling
      • Increment Winner (+Winner)
      • Check Card
      • Reset Numbers
      • Next Round
      • Previous Round
      • Game Speed (Faster)
      • Game Speed (Slower)
      • Call Twice
      • Setup
      • Next Pattern
      • Previous Pattern
    • You may edit the keys associated with this functions by clicking "Key | Customize Keys" on the menu item bar.
  • Invalid Cards - If you wish to block a card from winning you can put that card in here.  This is useful if a person leaves a game early and turns in their card.
    • Only works with auto playing cards.
    • Works better with games that do use the internal game/round count.
      • The round count feature causes one player to use multiple cards.  Depending upon the number of cards remaining to be played, many cards may have to be invalidated.
  • Marquee Access
    • You can now add your own messages to the marquee.  They only display when the software has no other information to display.
  • You may now select your own bonus/ spoiler/ super bonus ball number.

Improved

  • Labeling, all info grid items will have a label except the marquee.
    • The following items have been removed.
      • The Numbers Remaining
      • Players
      • Winners Needed

Trialing

  • We are trialing to see if people like the current number to display in lime green and the previous number displayed in yellow on both the standard information grid and the numbers called grid.
    • Added options to allow to change the color.  Changing the colors to white effectively disables this feature.

Fixed

  • The first page last page feature was simply a disaster waiting to happen if it hadn't already happened.  Fixed it so that you can change the number of cards used before each round and the software will now prompt you for the starting and last page when you open the project.
  • Parameter not correct error when trying to print cards.

Changed

  • All Information boxes are now black with white fonts by default.  The only differences is the numbers called boxes and winners boxes.  They remain black background and lime fonts.
  • Information regarding the calling method has been changed.  The new wording is as follows...
    • Automatic Calling
    • Blower / Cage
    • Restored Game
  • If using a restored game because of a system crash etc, the calling method information will display with a red background.
  • The name of the pattern will now appear above the pattern.
  • The Auto Card Checking feature will now support 1,024 players.

Restored

  • Standard File Checking Method.  This method was removed and auto play was implemented.  Now, you can have the best of both worlds.  You can now set which cards you wish to auto play and which cards you wish to use via the standard mode.
    • The standard method of checking cards could verify up to 1 million cards per session.  This is because this method of standard cards does not "play along" with the customers.  It only "catches up" the card when you check to verify it.

Future ReleaseUpcoming
  • Natural Calling
    • Prefer not to have number files appended together i.e. 40 + 2 = 42.  Then Natural Calling is for you.  Each number will have its own "wave" file so that calling sounds more natural.
      •   If you wish to lend your voice to this work let me know.  I'll give you a free copy of all our software if your work is selected.
        • I need all the letters A-Z and dash.
        • I need all the numbers 1 - 250.
        • Calling must be clear and static free.
        • 16bit 22khz mono PCM is the preferred format.
        • File format must be LetA and Num001
  • United Kingdom Bingo or 90 Ball Bingo does not work, it will work in the future.
    • I have created an alternate version of this card class that is more straight forward than the one being used.  This version does work.
    • There is some confusion as to how the 90-ball lay is suppose to be done.  If anyone has any info let me know.  The problem is that, is 90-ball bingo 9 columns of 10 rows each or 9 columns of varying lengths.
  • Graphics slideshow betweens rounds
  • Software will use two monitors, one to display flashboard and other graphics and one to perform utility tasks.
  • Restore on computer crash feature will be able to better handle games ran by a project.
  • The software will be able to read CSV files and convert them to temporary project files for our card checking feature.
Version 1.10.10
03/26/09
Improved
  • Check Card feature
    • Last Number Called is Highlighted
    • Winning Card Flashes
    • Pattern Information Displays on All Cards

  • All Free Spaces are properly marked.
  • Access Violation Error when opening project files.

Added

  • Option to set the game speed directly.

Version 1.10.8
03/13/09
Fixed
  • Single frame patterns like "Letter Z" declared winners after the first two or three numbers were called if using the project file.
Version 1.10.7Fixed
  • Erroneous errors regarding some pattern classes not displaying properly.
  • United Kingdom 90 Ball Bingo Card Class reported as Invalid Class.
Version 1.10.5Changed
  • You may now determine if you want the computer to display the winners.
  • You may now determine if you want the computer to pause after a card has won.
  • The software is now updated using the IBA Bingo Card Maker 1.15.0 project file version.  This means that the project files created with this version of IBA Bingo Card Maker will work correctly with this software.
Version 1.10.3Fixed
  • There was a problem with the check card system.  It was stating that the card displayed on the flashboard did not win.  However, it was displaying the card 1 page number had won.
Version 1.10.2Fixed
  • When a number is entered for an invalid column the system no longer displays a zero in the number called field.  It displays a message telling you that the number entered is invalid.

Added

  • A feature that tells the system you wish to use all the numbers in every column.  This is useful if you wish to use multiple patterns in one round.  Access the feature by clicking "Options | Use All Columns"  Do this BEFORE starting your round, otherwise the system will go out of synch.
Version 1.10Changed
  • The BCM project now controls how many rounds there are each game via the game count option.
  • You may now change patterns in the middle of a game.
  • The software automatically plays each card in the background and will tell if a person has won a pattern.
  • You may remove the last number by typing "\\" as the next number.  This only works for manual calling and the number of "\" must match the digit count.
Version 1.08.5Fixed
  • Once again the function keys were disassociated with their functions.  This has been fixed.
Version 1.08.4
  • Flashboard now recognizes game count.  Click "Project File | Set Game Number" to set game number.
Version 1.08.3
  • minor fixes
Version 1.08.2
  • The buttons operate correctly.  Voice call and and Call 2 now perform as they should, along with the Pause Button.
Version 1.08.1 Changes
  • When using patterns that do not require certain columns, the quantity of numbers [default 15] associated with those columns will not be assessed by either "numbers called" or "numbers remaining".  For example.  If you are using the 4 corners pattern, only columns B and O are used.  I, N, and G are not used.  So, instead of ball count being displayed as 75, it will be displayed as 30.  Because B[15] + O[15] = 30.  If all of the numbers are called out, it will show as 30, not 75.
Version 1.08 Changes
  • Complete compatibility with IBA Bingo Card Maker version 1.11 and above.
  • You will be able to download and print bingo card maker project files uploaded to our website.
